Everybody needs a vacation.....

So, after a long summer I got to take some time off from work and get some time to relax and visit some friends. I started my vacation out by going to visit my friend Elizabeth and her family. She is an amazing wife, mother, and friend. She and her husband David have 7 kids and Elizabeth is pregnant with #8! It's a girl! She should arrive on August 4! I am very excited to meet her!

Then I hung out in Peachtree City for a few days with the C3 Green team because they were back in Tyrone for another camp at Dogwood Church. On Tuesday morning of this week I headed to Destin for visit my dear friend Debbie! She and her husband are living in Destin until their house is ready in Roswell, GA. We have had a blast so far! I am going to post some pictures to try to document the trip.

Day 1: I got here around 12:30 pm and Debbie and I headed straight for the beach. It was so nice! I haven't been to the beach since last summer and it has been so relaxing! We enjoyed catching up on life and soakin' up the sun! The water was so clear and calm.

We were out in the middle of the ocean and every time I go to the beach I am constantly amazed at how big our God truly is. I just stood there in complete silence and thought of the line in the song "How He Loves" when it says "if grace is an ocean, we're all sinking" and just had the image of how big the ocean is and tried to put my mind around the fact that that is how much grace God gives to us daily. His grace is enough. He loves me more than I could ever comprehend yet I doubt Him countless times throughout the day. This week has been such a great reminded of how He gives me more than I could ever need.

Later that day some of Debbie's friends arrived from Peachtree City to stay at the Faith's beach house. We all enjoyed soaking up the sun and catching up. Then we headed back to our separate houses and got ready for dinner! We took the golf carts over to Baytown Wharf for dinner at a nice restaurant called Marlin Grill. After that we walked around Baytown Wharf and passed a cute little karaoke place and decided to stop and listen. We went in and listened to some really horrible singers try to convince themselves they sounded good. I may have sang a song or two with Alex DeJoy. It was a great night! I did not bring my camera this night because I was a little rushed when leaving.

.:Day 2:.
Today was a great day! We headed down to the beach for the day and just relaxed! It was great! We walked down to the Hilton for a nice lunch on the beach. After lunch we headed back to our beach chairs and I fell asleep under the umbrella and it was awesome! We packed up all our stuff and headed back to the house to get showers and ready for dinner! We had a late lunch so we went to the outlets to kill some time before we went to Tommy Bahamas for dinner! Outlets were not doing it for me so I was ready to move on to dinner! It was a cute restaurant and it was great quality time! Here are some photos from the night out:

Everyone on their cell phones

Jodie and her fun dessert that she ordered!

Alex and I!

Trying to take a fun picture of everyone jumping, Alex had a little trouble!

Our little frog friend!

My sweet friend, Debbie! She has taught me a lot of life! She has taught me how to "let go, and let God." I miss her living in Peachtree City but love that she has had me down for a visit to her cute little beach house in Destin! Love her!

More to come later.....

Oh...you lucky, lucky girl! Having Debbie for a friend is a direct hit from God. I know you had a great time in Destin. Debbie is a fun and generous hostess. If you're ever in Houston, you have a place to stay.

P.S. Doesn't Kelle Hampton's photography inspire you to capture the small moments?
