.:Speechless:.

Wow. I'm amazed at what God is able to do when we just ask. I want to be able to write out every emotion that I have but I don't think there is enough room for it. I am so humbled to be a part of the movement that is happening before our very eyes. God is raising up a generation that is going to make a difference for His Kingdom. He is starting in the lives of these students. Three years ago I came on staff at Heritage Christian Church and if you would have told me that God is going to start a revival in the lives of the students here there is no way I would have ever believed you. God has captured the hearts of these students and they are taking a stand to make a difference. They are sticking together at school and letting people know that they are loved by a Perfect Father. They are encouraging one another in love. I feel as though the words I am writing cannot do justice for what is happening in Fayette County. It has nothing to do with Heritage but has everything to do with our GREAT BIG GOD! He is able and willing to do the impossible, all we have to do is ask. This past weekend we went on a Fall Retreat to Cleveland, TN! God was very present and showed His face to every individual who was there. It has been our hope and prayer that students would truly understand the love of God and for the first time in my time in ministry I think it is taking place. Kids are putting down the bottles, throwing away the pills, getting rid of the razors, and letting their feelings come out. God is breaking addictions, breaking the chains that are holding people back, He is mending broken relationships, and so much more. Last night at the Plunge, there were over 20 people baptized. These kids were on fire. Kids were able to truly worship the ONE TRUE GOD. This is just the beginning to a beautiful canvas that is being painted. God is able to do more than we could ever ask or imagine. May you all be able to truly experience the power of the Holy Spirit by asking Him God to do the impossible in your very life, whatever it may be, He will do if you just trust Him! and the summer has come to an end....

Well, the summer has come to an end and I am getting ready for the next season of my life. This summer has been awesome! I have learned a lot about myself, others, and a lot more about ministry. God has given me so much to be thankful for and I am beyond blessed. I would say that this has been one great summer.

I am ready for this next school year. I am ready for the fall. I am ready for college and little league football. I am ready for the leaves to change colors. I am ready to ride with the windows down on a cool day. I am ready to meet new friends. I am ready to see what God has in store for me this year.

I will be taking 5 classes this semester and working a little more at the church! Next Sunday is promotion Sunday and I am pumped about the new kids moving up to Hangar 56! We have some new volunteers this year and I am so excited that God has called them to serve in Children's ministry. I just have this feeling that God is going to move in the lives of these sweet children, in their parents, and in our gracious volunteers. I am getting so excited just thinking about it! It is my hope and prayer that God will continue to grow and expand His Kingdom by using our volunteers to spread the good news!

So, as I sit here thinking about the future I just can't help but smile! I am smiling because I know that the God we serve is going to remain faithful to me as I continue to follow His plan for my life! There are days that will not be so great, days that I will be confused of why I am where I am, days where I cannot get enough of His perfect love, days where He makes me strong when I am weak, days that He is my everything and then I know there will be moments when He is going to take me out of my comfort zone, but it is in those moments that He teaches us and grows us the most. I will take it one day at a time and truly soak up every moment of every day! Looking forward to a new season!

The lyrics to "Desert Song" by Hillsong just keep popping in my head:

This is my prayer in the desert
And all that's within me feels dry
This is my prayer in the hunger in me
My God is a God who provides

And this is my prayer in the fire
In weakness or trial or pain
There is a faith proved
Of more worth than gold
So refine me Lord through the flames

And I will bring praise
I will bring praise
No weapon forged against me shall remain

I will rejoice
I will declare
God is my victory and He is here

And this is my prayer in the battle
And triumph is still on it's way
I am a conqueror and co-heir with Christ
So firm on His promise I'll stand

All of my life
In every season
You are still God
I have a reason to sing
I have a reason to worship

This is my prayer in the harvest
When favor and providence flow
I know I'm filled to be emptied again
The seed I've recieved I will sow

I love the line that says, "I know I'm filled to be emptied again" God continues to fill us up so that we can continue to pour out! I know that He is filling me up so that I can pour out the love He is pouring into me! Looking forward to what is in store!

Last few days at the beach...

Day 3: Debbie and I woke up and headed over to Panama City to pick up Brantley, Beth, and Katie who were going to join us for a few days after BigStuf Camps! We had a little bit of time to kill so we went over to Pier Park to walk around and get some lunch! Then we were off to pick up the girls! On the way back to Destin they were telling us all about their awesome week! Katie accepted Christ and God totally rocked her world! It was so encouraging to hear how God spoke to each one of them differently while they were at camp. It was a little overcast so we decided to go get a pedicure and relax!

We headed back to the DeBartola's place and had some yummy mexican chicken and tacos! Then we went to see the cutest movie ever:

We loved this movie! I recommend it for everyone! It has a great message. It really sends the message to truly just be who you are! I loved the character of Ramona, I can relate to her in so many ways! She was sweet and has a heart of gold but just not necessarily the best of luck. That's me! It was a great fun day overall!

Day 4: This might have been my favorite day overall! The girls wanted to get up and go watch the sunrise over the bay! It was early and I didn't think they would actually get up, but when I went to wake them up they jumped right out of bed and we loaded up to head over to the bay. We took the speakers and hooked up the iPod and played some worship music! It was very moving and encouraging morning. It was so awesome to just look around while we waited for the sun to peep up over the trees! I think we were all reminded of how BIG our God is!

The girls were walking back to the golf cart and I snapped a quick shot with my phone! Love this!

Later we went to the beach for a few hours and then hit up the pool! We headed back and got ready for our last night at the beach! We went to Seaside for shopping and dinner! We at a cute little pizza place and it was yummy! Before dinner we went out on the beach and Vicki DeJoy took some photos of the girls!

We had a great time! We headed out the next morning to get home around dinner time! We all had a very hard time leaving Debbie! We miss her living here but know we always have a fun place to visit until she is all moved in to her home in Roswell, but who knows when that will be!

What did you all do this summer? Go anywhere fun? Learn anything new?

Everybody needs a vacation.....

So, after a long summer I got to take some time off from work and get some time to relax and visit some friends. I started my vacation out by going to visit my friend Elizabeth and her family. She is an amazing wife, mother, and friend. She and her husband David have 7 kids and Elizabeth is pregnant with #8! It's a girl! She should arrive on August 4! I am very excited to meet her!

Then I hung out in Peachtree City for a few days with the C3 Green team because they were back in Tyrone for another camp at Dogwood Church. On Tuesday morning of this week I headed to Destin for visit my dear friend Debbie! She and her husband are living in Destin until their house is ready in Roswell, GA. We have had a blast so far! I am going to post some pictures to try to document the trip.

Day 1: I got here around 12:30 pm and Debbie and I headed straight for the beach. It was so nice! I haven't been to the beach since last summer and it has been so relaxing! We enjoyed catching up on life and soakin' up the sun! The water was so clear and calm.

We were out in the middle of the ocean and every time I go to the beach I am constantly amazed at how big our God truly is. I just stood there in complete silence and thought of the line in the song "How He Loves" when it says "if grace is an ocean, we're all sinking" and just had the image of how big the ocean is and tried to put my mind around the fact that that is how much grace God gives to us daily. His grace is enough. He loves me more than I could ever comprehend yet I doubt Him countless times throughout the day. This week has been such a great reminded of how He gives me more than I could ever need.

Later that day some of Debbie's friends arrived from Peachtree City to stay at the Faith's beach house. We all enjoyed soaking up the sun and catching up. Then we headed back to our separate houses and got ready for dinner! We took the golf carts over to Baytown Wharf for dinner at a nice restaurant called Marlin Grill. After that we walked around Baytown Wharf and passed a cute little karaoke place and decided to stop and listen. We went in and listened to some really horrible singers try to convince themselves they sounded good. I may have sang a song or two with Alex DeJoy. It was a great night! I did not bring my camera this night because I was a little rushed when leaving.

.:Day 2:.
Today was a great day! We headed down to the beach for the day and just relaxed! It was great! We walked down to the Hilton for a nice lunch on the beach. After lunch we headed back to our beach chairs and I fell asleep under the umbrella and it was awesome! We packed up all our stuff and headed back to the house to get showers and ready for dinner! We had a late lunch so we went to the outlets to kill some time before we went to Tommy Bahamas for dinner! Outlets were not doing it for me so I was ready to move on to dinner! It was a cute restaurant and it was great quality time! Here are some photos from the night out:

Everyone on their cell phones

Jodie and her fun dessert that she ordered!

Alex and I!

Trying to take a fun picture of everyone jumping, Alex had a little trouble!

Our little frog friend!

My sweet friend, Debbie! She has taught me a lot of life! She has taught me how to "let go, and let God." I miss her living in Peachtree City but love that she has had me down for a visit to her cute little beach house in Destin! Love her!

More to come later.....

.:Texas 2010:.

This summer has been a blast, but it has also gone by very fast! I have been working a lot and hanging out with friends and family! I started out the summer with a mission trip to Hildago, TX with the church! My dad went on this trip and this was the first mission trip he was on and I was honored to get to spend the week serving with him. It was probably the best week of my entire life! I wish that I had words to describe how incredible this was for me, for my dad, and for our relationship. Here are a few pictures from the trip:

Providential Relationships.

Well, it has been a while. A long while since I have even logged into this blog. I couldn't even remember the website to get me here. As the new year is off to a great start I have found myself writing and journaling a lot more. I feel as though I am ready to start blogging. I never really grasped the whole concept of it in the first place but maybe now is the time.

Today I am overwhelmed with the relationships that God has blessed me with. I often take them for granted and never really thank God for giving me people to really grow with. As I was reading in Proverbs this morning I was reminded of this..."As iron sharpens iron, one man sharpens another." I can tell you right now that I would not be where I am today if it were not for the people that God has put in my life to invest in me. I am constantly being challenged and I hope that they will always continue to challenge me. I love how we learn from each other and we truly care about each other. It is very humbling to be in relationship with these people. It really helps me understand God's love for me a little bit more. He loves me so much that He has given me these amazing people to grow closer to Him with. My life has been imprinted by the love of God through all of these people.

So, today I am grateful for providential relationships. It is a beautiful thing. Allow God to remind you of the wonderful people He has put in your life.

Who are you thankful for?
