I'm going to try this blog thing.

Well, I just finished my first semester at Atlanta Christian College. I enjoyed it while it lasted and I met some really amazing people. I am happy it is over because it gives me a little more free time. I baybsit almost every day and I have been spending a lot of time laying out by the pool. This summer I am going to Hilton Head for a week, Maybe a cruise for 6 days, Juarez, Mexico for 8 days, Destin, and AFRICA for a month. I cannot wait to see what God has in store for me this summer as I continue to seek Him. These past few months of my life have been crazy. I have felt really close to God one day and the next I have felt very far but thankfully God is still there waiting for me. I am so thankful for the people who have been there for me over these past few months and who are walking out this Journey with me! So thanks to all of you who have been there for me and to all of you who are praying for me.

I leave for Africa in 56 days and I am so excited! I am not quite ready and I am still trying to raise my support. God has been faithful so far and I am trusting that He will provide in the end. I cannot wait to see what He has in store for me while I am there. I cannot wait to see those sweet and innocent faces of the children in Kenya. We will be in Kenya for almost 4 weeks. The first two weeks will be spent setting up sports camps for orphans and the second two weeks we will be working with Kenyan college students in the slums of Nairobi. I will be on a team of about 20 college students and we all need your prayers. We need prayer for safety while we are in Africa. There are obvious health concerns, and although we will be taking every precaution we can, we still need prayer. We need prayer that we will be able to reach the children and families that we will be spending time with and that God will break down any language barriers that we may have. So please Pray for our Team!

Well, it's late and it is time for bed.
